Directions to Seattle Bug Safari
The Seattle Bug Safari is located on the Pike Street Hill Climb between the Seattle Aquarium and the Pike Place Market.
North Seattle (via I-5):
- Head South on I-5
- Take exit 167 to Mercer St./Seattle Center
- Bear right onto the ramp to Aquarium/Seattle Center
- At the first light turn right at Fairview Ave N
- At the next light turn left at Valley St
- Bear left at Broad St
- Continue on Broad St until you reach the waterfront
- Turn left at Alaskan Way South, continue on Alaskan Way for 0.8 miles
- Park near Pike Street and head for the Pike Street Hill Climb
- We are on the 3rd level of the Pike Street Hill Climb. The Hill Climb is across from the Seattle Aquarium
South Seattle (via I-5):
- Head North on I-5
- Follow EXIT 164B toward 4th Ave. South
- Merge onto I-90 (West)
- Take the exit toward QWEST FIELD/CITY CENTER
- Turn right onto 4th Ave. South
- Turn right onto S. Royal Brougham Way
- Turn right onto Alaskan Way South, continue on Alaskan Way for 0.5 miles
- Park near Pike Street and head for the Pike Street Hill Climb
- We are on the 3 rd level of the Pike Street Hill Climb. The Hill Climb is across from the Seattle Aquarium
East of Seattle (via SR-520):
- From Westbound SR-520, take I-5 South
- Take exit 167 to Mercer St./Seattle Center
- Bear right onto the ramp to Aquarium/Seattle Center
- At the first light turn right at Fairview Ave N
- At the next light turn left at Valley St
- Bear left at Broad St
- Turn left at Alaskan Way South continue on Alaskan Way for 0.8 miles
- Park near Pike Street and head for the Pike Street Hill Climb.

East of Seattle (via I-90):
- From I-90 West bound, take the 4th Ave. South exit
- Turn right onto 4th Ave. South
- Turn right onto S. Royal Brougham Way
- Turn right onto Alaskan Way South continue on Alaskan Way for 0.5 miles
- Park near Pike Street and head for the Pike Street Hill Climb
- We are on the 3rd level of the Pike Street Hill Climb. The Hill Climb is across from the Seattle Aquarium
From Downtown (Walking):
- From downtown, walk to the Pike Place Market
- Head down the main set of stairs that lead to the Pike Street Hill Climb and the waterfront
- As you reach the bottom of the Market stairs, continue across Western Ave
- We are on the 3 rd level of the Pike Street Hill Climb next to Procopio Gelateria
Parking
- Metered parking is available along the waterfront and underneath the Alaskan Way Viaduct
- Nearby pay-per-hour lots and garages are also options
Where is the Pike Street Hill Climb?
The bottom of the Hill Climb is located where Pike Street and Alaskan Way intersect. The top of the Hill Climb is located at bottom of the Pike Place Market and Western Ave. Feel free to call and we can guide you. 206-285-BUGS (2847)
